Step 2: Access User Permissions
- Upon opening the app, you will see the User Permissions screen.
- This screen outlines the specific access required to protect the device.
Warning: Do not click the Skip button in the top right corner. You must click Allow for all items to maintain access to company resources.
Part 2: Configuring Permissions
Step 1: Enable Location Services
The app uses location access specifically to monitor the safety of WiFi networks and detect threats like "fake" public WiFi.
- On the User Permissions screen, tap the red Allow button.
- When the iOS system prompt asks, "Allow 'CrowdStrike' to use your location?", select Allow While Using App.
- Ensure the Precise: On toggle is enabled.

Note: Your specific physical location is never stored or tracked by the company; this is used for WiFi security only.
Step 2: Enable Bluetooth Permissions
CrowdStrike monitors for malicious Bluetooth devices attempting to connect to your device.
- When the system prompt asks, "Allow 'CrowdStrike' to find Bluetooth devices?", tap Allow.

Troubleshooting and FAQ
Why does a security app need my location?
On Apple devices, Location Services is the only way an app can identify the name of the WiFi network you are using. CrowdStrike needs this to check if the network is a known "man-in-the-middle" threat.
What if I accidentally clicked "Don't Allow"?
If you denied a permission, your device may be flagged as "Non-Compliant". To resolve this:
- Open the Settings app on your device.
- Scroll down the left-hand menu and tap on CrowdStrike.
- Ensure Location is set to While Using.
- Ensure the Bluetooth toggle is turned ON.
